Star Dance Company

Hello, I’m Alice, 22yrs old, owner of Star Dance Company!

I run weekly classes at Hamdon Youth and Family Centre, and have been since February 2023.

From January 2024 I will be running 3 classes. 

Below is the timetable of the classes I offer.  Term 1 runs from 11 January to 29 February (no class on 1 February).

Minis      age 3-5

'Minis' is the youngest group and for children to explore movement. This session is 40 minutes long. This will include a warm up, movement games, explore simple actions to a Disney song and a cool down stretch. There will be a theme each week. They will not learn a progressive dance. This is a very relaxed group for children to explore movement, seeing how their bodies move to music!

Infants Contemporary/ Jazz    age 5 - 8

This class is for children who are ready to begin an introduction to dance, we will focus on rhythm, space and creative expression. This class is an hour long.  This will include a warm up, movement games, basic technique, choreography and a cool down stretch. They will progressively learn 1 routine (Contemporary/Jazz). This group requires children to listen appropriately to enable them to explore dance.

Juniors Contemporary/ Jazz/ Commercial   age 8 - 12

This class is for children who have been introduced to dance and are already aware of rythym, space and creative expression.This class is an hour long.  This will include a warm up, technique, choreography and a cool down stretch. They will progresively learn 2 routines, a contemporary dance and a commercial/ jazz dance. This group requires children to already have experience in dance.
